Description
A temporary root canal filling material with excellent radiopacity, Metapex is an antibacterial, premixed paste composed of calcium hydroxide with iodoform. Priced at less than half the cost of leading brands, Metapex is ideal for many applications:
- Exposed pulp in capping and pulpotomy.
- Root canal filling for deciduous teeth.
- Internal and external root resorption.
- Weeping canal.
- Apexification.
Metapex comes in a prefilled 2.2g syringe for easy delivery directly into the canal with the flexible plastic, ultra-fine Luer-lock needle tips included. Convenient rotator ring included allows for easy directional control of the tip. One 2.2g syringe, 20 disposable tips and one rotator ring per kit.

Composition
- Calcium Hydroxide
- Iodoform Silicon Oil
STEP 1: After preparing root canal, Clean and dry it
STEP 2: Set up a disposable tip in a syringe and insert the ring provided for an easy re-direction of the tip
STEP 3: Disinfect the disposable tip with ethanol
STEP 4: Fill the canal completely by pushing the syringe plunger while withdrawing the tip slowly
STEP 5: Clean any excess paste with a sterilized cotton pellet
STEP 6: Remove the used tip, fix a new one, and cover-up
CAUTION
- Do not fill beyond the apex
- Do not use in allergic person
