₹1,400.00
Tetric N-Ceram is a light-curing, radiopaque nano-hybrid composite based on nano-optimized technology for direct restorative procedures universally applied to restore teeth in the anterior and posterior region. Its nano-optimized filler technology is responsible for the material’s unique chameleon effect and natural esthetic results. Tetric N-Ceram demonstrates an exceptionally high level of radiopacity and thus significantly facilitates the diagnosis of secondary caries.

Description
The nano-hybrid composite Tetric N-Ceram enjoys great popularity. Dentists appreciate the straightforward application method and the fact that the material blends in seamlessly with the remaining tooth structure.
Tetric N-Ceram is available in eleven universal shades, which can be combined with three Dentin materials, one highly translucent material or three Bleach shades, depending on the requirements.
Amazing adaptation
The universal materials of the Tetric N-Ceram assortment demonstrate what is known as a chameleon effect. This is due to their low translucency of 11-12.5 percent, their special filler technology and their nanoparticulate shade pigments. Consequently, the materials can be used in many different situations. Only in cases of large fillings or severely stained tooth structure is the additional application of an opaque Tetric N-Ceram Dentin material necessary.
Indications
– Class I-V restorations
– Restoration of deciduous teeth
– Extended fissure sealing
– Direct veneers
– Splinting of mobile teeth
– Blocking out of undercuts
– Repair of composite and ceramic veneers

Composition
Tetric N-Ceram consists of dimethacrylates (19-20 wt.%). The fillers contain barium glass, ytterbium trifluoride, mixed oxide and copolymers (80-81 wt.%). Additives, initiators, stabilizers and pigments are additional contents (< 1 wt.%). The total content of inorganic fillers is 55–57 vol.%. The particle size of inorganic fillers is between 40 nm and 3000 nm.
Storage temperature: 2-28 °C (36-82 °F)
Directions for Use
- Apply Tetric N-Ceram in layers of max. 2 mm or 1.5 mm (Dentin shade) and contour/adapt the material to the cavity walls using a suitable instrument (e.g. OptraSculpt).
- Polymerize each layer individually according to the table below. Hold the light emission window as closely as possible to the surface of the restorative material.
Light intensity | Exposure time |
≥ 500 mW/cm2 | 20 s |
≥ 1‘000 mW/cm2 | 10 s |
Unit Programm | Bluephase N | Bluephase NM | Bluephase NMC |
High Power | 10 s | 15 s | 15 s |
Soft Start | 15 s | —— | —— |
Low Power | ——- | —— | —— |
- Finish the restoration with suitable finishers or fine diamonds. Subsequently, check the occlusion. Polish with silicone polishers (e.g. OptraPol).
Versatile application and shading options
The nano-modifier contained in Tetric N-Ceram imparts the material with outstanding modelling properties. The material does not stick to instruments. Nano-particles are responsible for the material’s exceptional polishing properties. The integrated nano-colour pigments are characteristic of the technology used in Tetric N-Ceram. Together with the natural translucency of the material, they create a chameleon effect. The nano-colour pigments feature a spherical structure. As they are homogenously distributed in the composite, they are responsible for improving the adjustment of the shade of the restoration to the surrounding natural teeth. As a result, very beautiful restorations are achieved, which are hardly distinguishable from the natural tooth structure. Tetric N-Ceram is available in 16 shades: two dentin shades, ten enamel shades, a highly translucent incisal shade and three bleach shades.
A well-coordinated system
Tetric N-Ceram forms part of the Tetric N-Collection, a comprehensive composite restorative system for the fabrication of high-quality standard restorations. All the products of this system are coordinated with each other to ensure clinical success. Apart from the universal composite Tetric N-Ceram, Tetric N-Collection comprises the flowable composite Tetric N-Flow as well as the total-etch adhesive Tetric N-Bond, which is best used in conjunction with N-Etch, a 37% phosphoric acid etching gel. In addition, the self-etching adhesive Tetric N-Bond Self-Etch is available.
