GC Fuji 9 Extra Mini Pack
GC Gold Label 9 Extra Mini is a high strength strontium-based glass ionomer restorative providing all the properties of genuine glass ionomers with physical properties strong enough for use in posterior teeth. Fuji 9 extra glass ionomer mini provides good radiopacity and the snap-set characteristics highly preferred. The strontium present in the cement mimics calcium forming strontium hydroxyapatite and strontium fluoroapatite, which promote remineralization of the tooth structure from within. Fuji 9 extra Mini glass ionomer cement has a surface strengthening effect brought about by the diffusion of calcium ions from the saliva into the glass ionomer restorative. These glass ionomers strengthen over time in saliva. GC Gold Label 9 extra mini displays a glossy surface after mixing. This indicates the presence of sufficient polyacrylic acid to begin the ion exchange process. The movement of ions between dentin, enamel and the restorative results in chemical fusion. The seal that results from using this restorative material is consistent, predictable and long lasting. GC Gold Label 9 extra mini has desirable physical properties such as high compressive and flexural strength, high wear resistance, good radiopacity and low solubility.
A Strontium-based Glass Ionomer:
All GC Fuji 9 Extra Mini Glass Ionomers contain strontium glass that provides good radiopacity and snapset characteristics, unanimously preferred by clinicians around the world. Interestingly, strontium will mimic calcium in the formation of strontium hydroxyapatite and strontium fluoroapatite to affect internal remineralization within the tooth structure.
Surface Strengthening Effect:
Research has shown that a strontium-based glass ionomer placed in calcium-containing environment (saliva) will result in calcium ion diffusing into the glass ionomer surface achieving a surface strengthening effect. All GC Gold Label 9 extra mini Glass Ionomer strengthens over time in saliva.
A Consistent Predictable Seal:
All GC Gold Label fuji 9 extra mini Glass Ionomer will display a glossy surface after mixing. This indicates sufficient free polyacrylic acid is available to begin the ion exchange process. The subsequent movement of ions between dentin, enamel and GC Glass Ionomer creates an ion exchange zone which chemically fuses them together. The resulting seal is consistent, predictable and long lasting.

After conditioning the tooth floor with GC Dentin Conditioner (10% polyacrylic acid), follow the Gold Label nine or Fuji IX GP in Capsule mixed as a result into the hollow space. Form the contour and area a matrix if required throughout the running time. After preliminary set, while the material starts to lose the glossy appearance, moisture protect with GC Cocoa Butter or GC Fuji Varnish or GC Fuji Coat LC. Final finishing beneath water spray may be completed on the recommended instances from start of mix; After finishing, observe a very last coat of GC Fuji Varnish or GC Fuji Coat LC as a shielding coating. Alternatively, utility of a final shielding coat of G-Coat PLUS can improve wear resistance.
